Ghazal

नाला जुज़ हुस्न-ए-तलब ऐ सितम-ईजाद नहीं

Mirza Ghalib· Ghazal· 10 shers· radif: नहीं

This ghazal delves into the lover's lament, portraying it not as a complaint but as a beautiful, persistent plea for more suffering from the beloved. The poet finds profound joy and enlightenment in the hardships and wilderness of their own path, rejecting conventional tales of love as labor. It ultimately suggests that for the discerning, life's calamities are invaluable lessons, akin to a teacher's guidance.
