Ghazal
This ghazal captures profound melancholy and emotional numbness, portraying the quiet endurance of living despite a desolate, joyless heart. Viewing grief as an invaluable treasure, the poet accepts his sorrow as life's constant companion, dispensing it through perpetual sighs.

Joyless is the heart, yet I go on living; / Empty is the glass, yet I go on drinking.
My heart is devoid of joy, yet I go on living; the wineglass is empty, yet I go on drinking.

As sigh upon sigh incessantly I go on heaving; sorrow is my wealth, and its alms I keep paying.
The reason I constantly heave sighs is that grief is my wealth, and through these sighs, I am continually paying its charity.
3
Behold the helplessness born of love's perfection: living is unacceptable to me, yet I go on living.
Behold the helplessness of love at its peak: I do not accept living, yet I continue to live.
4
Where is that heart left now, that one could give to love? Bound by sheer helplessness, I merely carry on.
Where is that heart left now that could love someone; it is only sheer helplessness that compels me to keep accompanying you.

Life took its leave alongside youth; / It is merely for the saying's sake that I still live on.
Life departed along with youth; it is merely a manner of speaking that I am still living.

Once wine was life, now life itself is wine; someone keeps pouring, and I drink endlessly.
Earlier, wine was life, but now life itself has become wine; someone keeps serving it to me, and I just keep on drinking.
