लाखों में इंतिख़ाब के क़ाबिल बना दिया
जिस दिल को तुम ने देख लिया दिल बना दिया
lākhoñ meñ intiḳhāb ke qābil banā diyā
jis dil ko tum ne dekh liyā dil banā diyā

हर-चंद कर दिया मुझे बर्बाद इश्क़ ने
लेकिन उन्हें तो शेफ़्ता-ए-दिल बना दिया
har-chand kar diyā mujhe barbād ishq ne
lekin unheñ to shefta-e-dil banā diyā

पहले कहाँ ये नाज़ थे ये इश्वा ओ अदा
दिल को दुआएँ दो तुम्हें क़ातिल बना दिया
pahle kahāñ ye naaz the ye ishva o adā
dil ko duā.eñ do tumheñ qātil banā diyā
