Do not ask about the condition, for it is unspoken, the heart, afflicted by sorrow, keeps its state from me.

This profound couplet is a classic example of Urdu emotional depth. Mir Taqi Mir is telling us not to inquire about the state of his heart, because the suffering is so deep and indescribable that mere words fail. His heart is utterly broken, consumed by continuous misfortune. It's a plea to the listener: my pain is too vast to articulate!
