Forget me, even strangers no longer refuse to die; It is sheer catastrophe, though no sword is in your hand.
Leaving me aside, even strangers do not refuse to die for you anymore. It is an utter catastrophe that people are slain even though you hold no sword in your hand.

Some trace of the destined goal did we finally attain, / Only when we realized that no strength to walk remained.
We only discovered some trace of our intended destination once we realized that we no longer had the strength to walk.

Heaven ward off the evil eye, they stroll so freely with my rivals—unaware, even now, of love's fierce honor and pride.
May the evil eye stay away, they roam around so much with rivals; they are still unaware of love's sense of honor and pride.
4
Though bearing her coquettish whims has brought about my end, praise be to God that between us no quarrels now contend.
Although enduring her coquettish whims has completely finished me off, praise be to God that there is no dispute or quarrel between us.

For ages, jealousy kept me from meeting with rivals; at last the heart decreed: in this there lies no shame.
For a long time, jealousy kept me from meeting my rivals, but in the end, the heart gave the decree that there is no shame in it.

In every single thing is found a trace of our true aim; / Else, for nothing else in all this world would we lay seeker's claim.
A sign of our true goal (or Beloved) is found in everything; otherwise, we do not desire or seek anything else in this world.
7
That which can no longer be hidden in the heart, O Hali,
How cruel the plight: it is not fit to be expressed!
O Hali, the matter that can no longer be concealed inside the heart presents a severe dilemma, as it is also not fit to be revealed.
